Description
A comprehensive range available with either a structural modesty panel (Steel 5.0) or a telescopic beam (Steel 4.0), both are a solidly built, traditional, well priced entry level ranges which come with C-shaped cantilver metallic legs in a choice of two colours and a wide choice of top finishes to chose from.
Tops:
25 mm thick melamine-faced particle board, density 630 to 710 kg/m3;
5 choices of melamine finish;
Fire safety classification: the particle board used is classified as M3 (combustible, moderately flammable);
Our particle board is also certified to E1 (control of fomaldehyde emissions) and officially recognized by the PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) as being produced using timber sourced from sustainably managed forest;
Edges protected by a 2 mm thick strip of impact-resistant PVC, multi-ply in the case of copper pear (MD) tops only, plain in all other cases;
Maintenance advice: use soapy water and avoid products which contain solvents.
Structure:
“L” shaped , decentralised legs. Legs comprise a pressed sheet steel base (steel thickness 25/10), a folded sheet steel upright (steel thickness 20/10) complete with clip-on trim panel (steel thickness 8/10) and a pressed steel top plate by which the leg is attached to the desktop;
Legs are attached to the desktop using metal inserts;
Standard legs are welded for maximum strength and fitted with stabilizer feet, adjustable through 20 mm, for use on uneven floors;
Standard legs, fixed height 72 cm, or height-adjustable legs, adjustable from 62 to 86 cm at 20 mm intervals;
Legs coated with epoxy powder in a textured finish;
Steel 4.0
Reversible, telescopic central metal beam (depth: 50 mm, height: 80 mm), open-sided along its entire length and attached to the legs using screws;
The beam ensures that the desktop remains firm at all times and prevents any danger of sagging.
Steel 5.0
Structural sheet steel modesty panel (steel thickness 10/10), height: 320 mm;
Screw attachment to the legs;
The modesty panel ensures that the desktop remains firm at all times and prevents any danger of sagging;
It also enhances user comfort and guarantees privacy.
Cable management:
Vertical cable management facility built into the legs. Cable ports, ø 60 mm, cut into the inner face of uprights at the bottom end;
Optional desktop cable ports (see main catalogue, p. 124-125).
Steel 4.0
Built-in horizontal cable management via the cable trough within the beam;
Cables are routed between leg and beam via an opening measuring W. 45 x H. 65 mm.
Steel 5.0
Optional horizontal cable management;
Cables are routed between modesty panel and desktop via two cable ports, ø 60 mm, one at each end of the modesty panel.
